Get to Know Sam

Woman standing on a jetty on the beach

Hi!

I’m Sam, the founder of So Organised with Sam. As a professional organiser, my journey began from a place of personal experience. I understand the feelings of overwhelm, embarrassment, and the desire for a more organised life. This personal connection fuels my mission to help others transform their spaces and make their lives easier.

While working in an office role, I completed my CPD accreditation in Professional Organising and carried out work experience with the one and only Dilly Carter of Declutter Dollies. I bring expertise, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to every project. I genuinely believe that an organised home can have a profound impact on your overall well-being and happiness. My goal is to be your accountability partner to guide and support you throughout the process, making it a positive and empowering experience.

what our customers are saying

My Career

I started in the Oil and Gas industry and I have worked for the last 15 years in Engineering and Consultancy roles. In this time, I have developed great communication skills, time management skills and a meticulous attention to detail.  Working in this industry has given me the opportunity to be adaptable and collaborative while planning and coordinating projects.

My Home Life

When I’m not working, I have a busy home life filled with joy. In Stonehaven, I share a home with my husband, our two sons and our dachshund Coco. We love the opportunity to spend time together as a family, walking on the beach or having adventures in all the local woods. As the kids grow older and immerse themselves in school and their various activities, I realised the importance of self-care. Running is my version of self-care. It has been a massive stress-reliever and gives me precious moments of peace. Additionally, I have also recently discovered Jazzercise which is pure happiness and fun. As parents, it is so vital that we do something for ourselves to recharge our batteries and look after our own wellbeing. By investing time in my own well-being, I am able to unlock the best version of myself.

Organising and decluttering in my home

Has meant that I spend less time tidying and have more time to spend with my family and enjoy those moments of self-care. It’s safe to say that having an organised home has played a huge role in improving my overall mental wellbeing.

Let’s make it happen for you too!

There is no denying it anymore...

It's bloody freezing outside and the heating is on and here to stay!

At this time of year, we spend a lot more time inside.

But what if you home feels like it's got an identity crisis...

Reminders of summer - sandals hanging around the front door
AND
Winter reinforcements arrived - blankets and cosy socks for maximum comfort

Don't put it off! Sort out your garage or shed now!

These spaces don't have to be the dumping ground. There is still time to give them a proper reset this autumn.

Think about how happy you'll feel to open the door to a tidy space where everything is easy to find and has a purpose.

There are still a few spaces available in my diary this October to help you reset those spaces.

Let's be clear on this...

You cannot make spaces function or look pretty until you've done a declutter.

Without removing the items you no longer need, you feel like the area needs your constant attention to keep it in check.

I know that decluttering can feel hard sometimes and if you're anything like me you cant wait to get everything put away in containers.

But...decluttering is essential!

Not only will it make organising simplier but it will also be far easier to maintain a beautifully organised space.

And who doesn't want to save time by no longer having to look for things and save money from no longer buying duplicates because you couldn't see that you already had it.

Make sure you follow along for more tips from me to get you out of the chaos and into the calm 💜
